Genny Rafferty, NCTM* is a classical pianist, vocalist, teacher, and award winning composer.  Genny has been teaching piano since 1994 and voice since 2002.  Genny's piano genealogy leads back through famous composers and master teachers such as Franz Liszt, Karl Czerny, and Ludwig Van Beethoven. Genny loves teaching piano and voice lessons and enjoys helping students cultivate a love for music in their own lives.

Genny graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education.  After teaching music and choir in the public schools, Genny decided to devote her time and talents to teaching in her private studio. She continues to stay involved in many of the music programs of schools throughout the Valley, including working closely with her husband, who is a high school choir director.

Genny is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, through which she is certified as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, and the Arizona State Music Teachers Association.  She currently serves on the board of directors of both the Phoenix Music Teachers Association and the Arizona State Music Teachers Association. Genny stays very involved in church and community, sharing her musical talents with many individuals and schools through accompanying and performing.
